Message	This is exactly what happened to me on my Z. I bought my Z from this guy and he didn't give me a title then he disappeared (after promising to give it to me). I ended finding an old insurance card in the car and called the insurance company. They were nice enough to point me in the right direction. Turns out that the guy owed $8000 dollars on this car (and it was an NA!!!). He defaulted on the loan. What he had done was wrecked it, and the insurance company didn't total it, instead they cut him a check for repairs. Instead of paying to get the damage fixed on the car, he just took off with the money. I ended up settling for $1000 with the company who held the title so I could own the car.
